Tribal leaders told timing is critical

NOVEMBER 13, 2000 Tribal leaders have the next 60 to 90 days to lobby politicians in order to ensure that American Indian interests are protected and addressed in the next two to four years. Lobbyists gave this message to attendees of the annual conference of the National Congress of American Indians. The gathering is being held this week in St. Paul, Minnesota. Get the Story:
