Begay re-elected as council speaker

JANUARY 25, 2001 The Navajo Nation Council on Monday voted 70-1 to re-elect Edward T. Begay as council speaker. Begay has held the position since 1999. He was also the only delegate to declare candidacy for the position by January 10. Get the Story:
