The Five Civilized Tribes of Oklahoma on Wednesday held a legislative briefing in Washington, DC, focusing on sovereignty, diabetes funding, probate reform, and jobs.

The meeting was attended briefly by Rep. Brad Carson (D-Okla), a member of the Cherokee Nation. Chief Chad Smith made a presentation, as did Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby and Jerry Haney, Principal Chief of the Seminole Nation.
