MARCH 14, 2001

The leaders of three Connecticut towns who have opposed the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation on a number of issues on Tuesday continued to voice their displeasure over a meeting they had with the tribal council.

The town leaders say they the tribe ignored a number of ground rules for a meeting they had on Monday. According to town leaders, the tribe wasn't supposed to hold any type of ceremony or lead a prayer but Chairman Kenneth Reels did it anyway.

The towns say the tribe purposely violated the ground rules to make them look bad.
