Panel to probe racial profiling

The State-Tribal Relations Committee of the South Dakota Legislature on Tuesday decided to probe racial profiling of Native Americans in the state.

Many reservation residents complain they are unfairly targeted and harassed by police. The committee wants to collect data over a three-year period to investigate the issue.
