Tribe fears loss of police officers

The Sisseton-Wahpeton Tribe of South Dakota might lose more than half ot its police force due to an end in the tribe's federal COPS grant, The tribal police chief and other officials met with Senator Tom Daschle to discuss criminal justice issues facing the tribe. Senator Daschle praised the tribe for its low DUI and crime rate. Chairman Andrew Grey says a strong tribal government has led to successes on the reservation.
