FBI investigates BIA worker

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is currently conducting an inquiry into the actions of Herman G Fisher, a Bureau of Indian Affairs safety specialist who is alleged to have demanded $300,000 in payments by a company constructing portable classroms on Indian land.

Fisher is alleged to have received $200 for tires on his car, $2,500 for tires on his tractor, $831 for carpet for his house, and $5,000 for a personal computer from a company official.

The official also allegedy paid Fisher $15,000 in a sting operation by the FBI. The FBI has yet to file charges or arrest anyone.
