State to Gover: Get out

JULY 21, 2000 Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal wants Kevin Gover out of the decision making process involving the federal recognition of the Eastern Pequot, Paucatucket Eastern Pequot, and the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation. Blumenthal says Gover should get out because he's already recused himself from the petition of the Golden Hill Paugussett Tribe. Gover was their former lawyer. Blumenthal says since the evidence involving the tribes are similar to the Paugussett situation, Gover has a conflict of interest. Get the Story:
