US District Court Judge Christopher F. Droney in Hartford, Connecticut, has ruled that Debra Bassett can sue the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Museum corporation and museum directors for allegedly plagiarizing a script she wrote on the tribe's history.

An earlier decision ruled she could not sue the tribe themselves due to sovereign immunity. But on Friday, Droney said Bassett could sue the corporation and its members, which include Representative Sam Gejdenson and Vice-Chairman Skip Hayward.
