The police department of the White Earth Ojibwe Tribe has ended its policy of allowing officers to take home their squad cars, angering many within the department.

The officers will be required to drive their cars to a central location to pick up their squad car. The tribe said the policy applies to all tribal vehicles and instituted the policy due to higher gas prices and maintenance costs.
