The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to accept an appeal brought by an attorney who represents Leonard Peltier.

But Jennifer Harbury's case is not about the imprisoned American Indian Movement activist. It's about her own struggle to find out how her husband was killed in Guatemala and how much U.S. intelligence officials knew about it.

A federal appeals court said the Clinton administration was wrong not to hear Harbury's complaints. The Supreme Court will review that decision and decide whether government officials can be sued for keeping information from her.

The case could have implications for national security as it involves secret evidence, which is being used against by the U.S. against suspected terrorists.
