Mescalero primary yields same results

What do you get when you hold an election, throw out the results and then hold another primary in advance of another election?

The exact same thing you got the first time around.

That's what the Mescalero Apache Nation of New Mexico has discovered. After invalidating an election in which Mark Chino defeated incumbent President Sara Misquez, the tribe held a primary on Monday with the same results.

Chino will again face Misquez in a run-off election to be held January 9. And except for one council member who decided not to run again, all eight top vote getters in the previous election were again the top vote getters in Monday's primary.
