Sandia Pueblo in New Mexico is seeking the support of a local county for its unresolved land claim.

The tribe wants the Sandoval County Commission to support a a revised settlement regarding 10,000 acres of land in the Sandia Mountains. The Clinton administration issued a legal opinion which determined the land was wrongfully excluded from the tribe's reservation.

Bernalillo County and local landowners are opposing settlement.
