WEDNESDAY, MAY 8, 2002

Secretary of Interior Gale Norton has established a task force to review her department's law enforcement and recommend changes.

The panel is to report back next month on ways to improve the structure and coordination of activities. Norton convened the group in response to an internal audit which found no one in charge of the federal government's third largest police force.
