Native corp. leader resigns

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2001 Charlie Alasuk Curtis on Thursday announced he is retiring as head of NANA Regional Corp., an Alaksa Native corporation. Under Curtis' leadership, NANA's profits have grown by 500 percent -- its revenue in 2000 was $176 million, up from $38 million in 1992. Curtis has promised only to serve 10 years as president.
