Kan. urged to legalize gambling

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2001 Kansas has to raise taxes or legalize gaming if it wants to spend more money on public schools, says House Speaker Kent Glasscock. Currently, gaming is only allowed on the state's four reservations. If offered elsewhere, it would cut into the tribe's profits. Get the Story:
