DECEMBER 21, 2000 "Ben Johnson suggests that Foxwoods should pay the state a tax 6 percent of gross income 'as our businesses must pay.' The writer should be aware of the fact that the present amount the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe pays to the state based on Foxwoods' income is well in excess of twice that amount. I am sure that the state would not take kindly to reducing Foxwoods payment to the amount suggested by this writer. . ." Get the Story:
