Tribe-affiliated business loses appeal

JANUARY 31, 2001 Cherokee Nation Industries, an Oklahoma state corporation affiliated with the Cherokee Nation, lost its appeal on a case where it alleged a Tulsa law firm defrauded them. The law firm has been trying to collect $88,000 in legal fees from the tribe. The fees have been reduced to $54,500 by a Tulsa District Court Judge. Get the Story:
