Pequot Tribe biggest taxpayer in town

FEBRUARY 14, 2001 According to documents released by the Stonington tax assessor, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation is the the biggest taxpayer in the Connecticut town. Properties the tribe owns in the town are responsible for the highest tax assessments. The Pequot Mystic Hotel is first with a value of $8.8 million and the tribe itself is second with property values totaling $8.5 million. Get the Story:
