Okla. lottery proposal killed

Ending a potential chance for tribes in the state to expand their gaming activities, the Senate Appropriations Committee on Wednesday voted against a state-run lottery.

A number of opponents, including religious groups and Governor Frank Keating, spoke out against the measure.
