Changes to compact process proposed

Connecticut State Rep. Alex Knopp (D-Norwalk) today plans on proposising legislation to alter the way gaming compacts are approved in the state.

Knopp wants the state to develop a separate "municipal compensation plan" every a new gaming compact is negotiated with a tribe. This plan's primary goal is giving communities located near casinos more money from them.
