Approximately a dozen tribes that are members in the Council of Energy Resource Tribes (CERT) are looking to create a for profit energy ventured called Red Earth Energy. The company will be based in Denver and will require approximately $2.25 million in financing to begin operations. The energy assets of the company will include coal, natural gas, oil, and well as electrical power.
