JUNE 6, 2000 The Beloit City Council approved a referendum that will give voters the opportunity to decide on a casino proposal by the Bad River and St. Croix Chippewa bands of Wisconsin. The casino needs approval from the city, Governor Tommy Thompson, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, andpossibly the Rock County Board of Supervisors. Get the Story:
