Indian home ownership improves in Wash.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2001 Home ownership among Native Americans in Washington has improved slightly over the past decade, according to data from the Census 2000. In the state, 40 percent of American Indians and Alaska Natives owned homes. This was up from 36 percent in 1990. The rate was the second lowest among ethnic and racial groups in the state. In Seattle, only 26 percent of Native Americans owned homes. Get the Story:
