FRIDAY, JULY 20, 2001 A former accountant for the Red Cliff Band of Ojibwe was sentenced on Thursday to 16 months in prison and ordered to pay $137,207 in restitution to the Wisconsin tribe. Lou Ann Gordon had pleaded guilty to stealing $100,000 from the tribe. She is a tribal member. Another tribal member, former treasurer Allan Butterfield, is going to be sentenced July 26. He will pay $108,090 to the tribe. Get the Story:
