Mohegan Tribe to open new arena

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15, 2001 The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut will be opening its new indoor arena in November. The arena is part of a $1 billion expandion the tribe is undertaking at the Mohegan Sun Casino. Among the first performers to grace the stage will be country cooter Tim McGraw, Latina living legend Gloria Estefan and Boston bad boys Aerosmith. The tribe is also opening a smaller part of the expansion project called the Casino of the Sky later this month, said Chairman Mark Brown. Get the Story:
