FRIDAY, AUGUST 17, 2001 The Lac du Flambeau Ojibwe Tribe of Wisconsin met with state gaming officials on Tuesday to discuss an off-reservation casino. According to a spokesperson for Gov. Scott McCallum, there was nothing resolved from the meeting. The tribe had requested the meeting under a dispute resolution provision of its gaming compact. McCallum has said he opposes expansion of gaming in the state. In February, he rejected an off-reservation casino proposed by three Ojibwe tribes. Get the Story:
