AUGUST 30, 2000

The 30-day comment period on a casino proposed by three Ojibwe tribes in Wisconsin is scheduled to end today as Hudson city officials plan to send a report to the Department of Interior detailing negative aspects of the proposal without directly opposing it.

The Red Cliff, Sokaogon, and Lac Courte Oreilles Chippewa have been seeking an off-reservation casino in Hudson since 1995.
