FRIDAY, AUGUST 31, 2001 The Mohegan Tribe's new 34-story hotel stands 480 feet, making it the second tallest building in Connecticut. The glass tower is part of the tribe's $1 billion expansion of its successful Mohegan Sun casino. Scheduled to open in April 2002, it has 1,200 rooms, a convention center and other facilities. Residents contacted by The New London Day had varying opinions about the structure but said it felt out of place among their community. Get the Story:
