Oneida Nation county make agreement

MONDAY, AUGUST 6, 2001 The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin has come to a tentative services agreement with Brown County. Under the agreement, the tribe would pay the county $1 million for the next two years. The amount compensates the county for lost taxes due to land taken into trust. The country provides parks, highways and other services while the tribe provides social, environmental and other services, according to the agreement. Get the Story:
