The Gila River Indian Community of Arizona on Wednesday became the second tribe to seek an Arizona Cardinals football stadium.

The tribe submitted a proposal to host the site on one of three sites in the southeast Valley of Phoenix. One would be near the tribe's casino and golf resort and a new resort being constructed.

The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation is also pushing to host the stadium. The tribe submitted its proposal last year, which was rejected, but now that the chosen site has been tossed it, the tribe is back in the running.

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community might also be seeking to host the stadium, reports The Arizona Republic.

All submissions are due by December 13.
