THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2001 Why people gamble, and can't stop doing so, is the subject of an upcoming conference to be held in Las Vegas, a casino mecca. Sponsored by he National Center for Responsible Gaming, Havard University and the the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling, "Toward Meaningful Diagnosis of Gambling Disorders: From Theory to Practice" will examine the compulsive gambling disorder.
