With a movement in Nebraska to legalize video gaming, four tribes in the state may finally get their shot at the Class III gaming they have sought for so long.

Two non-Indian groups are pursuing a constitutional amendment to allow video machines. If either one passes, the tribes will be able to offer them as well, said attorneys.

State Sen. DiAnna Schimek wants to constitution changed to allow Class III gaming in Indian Country. Any one, or all, of the three proposals could end up before voters in November 2002.
