Wampanoag Tribe gets help from the top

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2001 Seeking to open a casino, the Gay Head Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts has enlisted the support of the former top aide to a top lawmaker. The tribe is using the services of William F. Kennedy, a former assistant to House Speaker Thomas M. Finneran. Kennedy is not technically lobbying the casino to his former boss or other lawmakers but advising the tribe on how best to approach them. Get the Story:
