National business group planned

Native business leaders in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Wisconsin and Minnesota are planning on forming a national American Indian Chamber of Commerce.

The goal is to give a greater voice to Indian business owners, said Michael Kelley, former executive director of the Oklahoma City American Indian Chamber of Commerce. The organization will help inform members and educate others about Indian businesses, he said.
