TUESDAY, APRIL 9, 2002 The Northern Arapaho Tribe and the state of Wyoming have failed to come to an agreement on a Class III gaming compact. The state was ordered by a federal judge to enter into negotiations. A 60-day deadline passed yesterday with no new compact. The tribe wants to expand its offerings but the court has so far only allowed calcuttas and pari-mutuels, which are types of Class III games. University of New Mexico instructor Dale Mason said the tribe might be able to offer other games. The tribe resides on the Wind River Reservation. Get the Story:
