The first quarter of 2002 has been good to some tribes in New Mexico.

Ten Pueblos took in about $97 million in net revenues on their slot machines for the period. About 60 percent was at casinos owned by Isleta, Sandia and Santa Ana, which are located near Albuquerque.

Compacts the tribes signed requires casinos with up to $4 million in net slot machine revenues to pay the share 3 percent with the state. More than $4 million requires 8 percent sharing.
