The bipartisan spirit of cooperation evidenced since September 11's terrorist attacks was bound to end sooner or later and it looks like judicial nominees are the straw breaking the camel's back.

Republicans in the Senate are blocking legislation to try and fast track President Bush's picks. They say Democrats in charge aren't moving quick enough since only eight out of 60 judges approved.

But Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) has questioned why Republicans are using stall tactics to try to speed things up. It seems counter-productive, he has told reporters.

The Judiciary Committee will be holding a hearing Thursday for five judges.
