Census may have overcounted whites

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2001 When the Census Bureau recently said whites were still the largest ethnic group in the country, there may have been a more technical reason than actual numbers. Due to an error in the assessment of the Census 2000, whites may have been overcounted. But the Census Bureau says the number is so small that it is negligent. Get the Story:
