MONDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2001 The 36th annual convention of the Alaska Federation of Natives begins in Anchorage on Monday. About 3,000 are expected to turn out for the weeklong event. A subsistence amendment and racism are some of the top issues that will be discussed. The convention will be broadcast on the radio and on the Internet by KNBA.
