Mohawk Council says Lazio ad is racist

NOVEMBER 3, 2000 The St. Regis Mohawk tribal council on Thursday called a radio ad being run by Representative Rick Lazio (R-New York) racist. Lazio is running against First Lady Hillary Clinton for the Senate seat in New York. His radio ad, which criticizes President Clinton and the Department of Justice for their involvement in land claims suits, is running in upstate New York. The tribe was targeted earlier this year by Donald Trump and his associates. They ran a series of ads depicting them as engaging in criminal activity. Get the Story:
