Campbell plans to run for 3rd term

JANUARY 5, 2001 Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo), the only Native American in the Senate, plans to run for a third term come 2004. Campbell was first elected as a Democrat. He changed parties after the GOP party gained control of Congress. Campbell is Chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs. Get the Story:
