Wilson gets Armed Services seat

JANUARY 8, 2001 Representative Heather Wilson (R-N.Mex) was given a special waiver to sit on the House Armed Services Committee, her office announced on Monday. Wilson is already a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee and had to get the waiver because its members aren't generally allowed to sit on a second committee. Wilson successfully defeated former New Mexico Attorney General John Kelly for re-election in November. Kelly had been endorsed by several tribes. Get the Story:
