DNC Chief: Gore not Clinton in 2004

FEBRUARY 2, 2001 Terence McAuliffe, the newly elected head of the Democratic National Committee, said on Sunday Al Gore would run for President in 2004, not Freshman Senator Hillary Clinton as some have suggested. McAuliffe predicted post-election analyses of the votes in Florida would show that Gore really won the state and therefore improve his chances at winning in 2004. Get the Story:
