APRIL 9, 2001

Led by Representative Roy Blunt (Mo.), the GOP has come up with a list of 45 regulations finalized during the final weeks of the Clinton administration they are seeking to overturn.

According to The Washington Post, the targeted regulations range from the ban on snowmobiles in national parks to a rule one Congressman says prevents Amish teenagers from using power tools in the work place.

Congress can overturn regulations through the Congressional Review Act. So far, its only been used once and earlier this year, Congress repealed a set of ergonomics regulations corporations did not like.
