Reflecting a common theme on reservations throughout the country, the median age of the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation in Connecticut is a young 26.8 years, according to the Census 2000.

The median age in the surrounding area, on the other hand, is 37.3 years.

The reservation has 325 residents, most of whom are American Indian or Alaska Native.
