FRIDAY, JULY 13, 2001

Authorities searched abandoned buldings in the District of Columbia on Thursday in an attempt to search for clues in the disappearance of Chandra Levy, a former government intern.

Investigators also continued to question Anne Marie Smith, a flight attendant who claims to have had an affair with California Congressman Gary Condit (D). Smith claims Condit told her to lie about the affair.

Condit, 53, also had an affair with Levy.
