JULY 6, 2001 Actor and activist Russell Means registered to vote in New Mexico on Thursday, taking advantage of a state law that allows convicted felons to register. The law, however, may not help him run for the state's governor in 2002. Convicted felons aren't allowed to run for public office but Means and the Libertarian Party are challenging the rule, saying it is unconstitutional. Get the Story:
