The head of President Bush's Office of Faith-based and Community Initiatives will be leaving his job ahead of schedule, media sources are reporting today.

John J. DiIulio, a University of Pennsylvania professor, had been named to run the office and spearhead Bush's controversial faith-based initiative. He had only planned to stay a year but is leaving as soon as a transition team can be put in place, administration sources said.
