Navajo group seeks reform

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2002 A large group of Navajo tribal members has issued a set of demands to the Navajo Nation council but wants to get many delegates out of office anyway. The Dineh Bidzill Coalition, which includes members of the group whose motto was "Just Say No to IHS Contracting," wants the council to take action on a number of health, environmental, civil rights, natural resource and other reforms. Their other goal is to vote a whole lot of council delegates out of office this November. Get the Story:
